When it comes to ensuring your crops have everything they need to grow optimally, the right fertiliser is almost always a key piece of the puzzle. Soil conditions, climate and spacing play a role in growing a crop that yields as expected, of course, but by applying the right fertiliser you can provide sufficient nutrients that may not be readily available.

While there’s no single fertiliser that can be described as a ‘one-stop’ solution, one product we continue to see great results from in greenfeed crops is Rapid Canopy. As opposed to a traditional granular NPK fertiliser, Rapid Canopy uses a combination of liquid Nitrogen, Boron, Molybdenum and a host of microbial plant growth stimulants and effective microorganisms to serve a number of purposes.

The three forms of Nitrogen found in Rapid Canopy (Urea, Ammonium and Nitrate) work together over time to reduce the risks usually associated with soil surface applied nitrogen because there is both fast- and slow-release N for plants to uptake. The application of Boron ensures these carbohydrate-based crops have the best chance at metabolising starch and sugar essential for grazing crops and it’s also vital for the production of nucleic acids.

The addition of EM and molybdenum is to help Rapid Canopy live up to its name. Promoting foliar growth so that crops can photosynthesise optimally, its application helps to convert as much sunlight as possible into energy that helps facilitate the metabolic processes enhanced by the Boron and Nitrogen.
