Mt. Alford

When Dan became the manager of Mt. Alford Station there was a significant gorse problem that needed to be addressed. In this nutrient-sensitive catchment, our agronomic approach saved him $30,000 by applying the right chemicals at the right time in an environment that had previously cost $150,000 to manage over the last three years.

Achieving far better results than branded chemicals, we’ve continued to work alongside Dan and he’s also found great success using our fodder beet. Working within the prescribed regulations regarding fertilizer solutions, we’ve been able to experiment and customise our product to the Station’s environment. The result is a better year-round product for his sheep that no longer require any supplemental feed over winter.
