SY Dolomite is a new high yielding feed barley bred by Syngenta in the UK and developed in NZ in conjunction with Cropmark Seeds as head licensee. SY Dolomite has excellent standability being a moderate to stiff strawed cultivar with intermediate maturity making it well suited to a range of different farming situations. It shows superior resistance to most diseases and has a wide sowing window from early May through to October. SY Dolomite produces a large grain with outstanding screenings and test weight.
Splice is a high performing hybrid tetraploid inter-species cross resulting from inter-crossing of perennial ryegrass, Italian ryegrass, meadow fescue and tall fescue. It was bred with the aim of achieving a fast establishing, high yielding medium term grass with the forage quality from the Italian ryegrass and meadow fescue parents, and the strong root structure of the tall fescue, providing summer dry tolerance. Available with AR1 endophyte or LE.
